FALL 2023 SCHOLARSHIP
In October of 2023, the fruitful months of local summer creations brought generous donations that have sponsored one incredible student's music lesson for the Fall and Spring seasons. Dylan Powers has been a student at Music University for a decade, playing with the band Heatwave at the school since he was in 5th grade. After being inspired by American Idol winner Phillip Phillips at a young age, Dylan began developing his passion for guitar. Over the past ten years he has played with his band at locations like The Wonder Bar, Strand Theatre, Jersey Shore Blueclaws stadium, and more. In addition, he has also performed at multiple school events. He is planning on continuing to hone his craft and writing some of his own songs someday. We can't wait to see what Dylan creates in his future and where this musical path takes him!
*Special thanks to Music University, who matched our donation and was able to extend the scholarship an extra three months of music lessons. We truly appreciate the community effort that can really change the life of an individual.
2023 Kreate Scholarship
We are so excited to announce our 2023 Kreate $500 Scholarship Recipient, Mads Fernandez. Mads is a dedicated and passionate 2023 graduate of Neptune High School, who is continuing their education in Musical Theatre at the prestigious Eckerd College. As someone who has been inspired by theatrical arts since they were just five years old, over the years Mads has found a sanctuary in the theatre. Mads hopes to continue studying, performing, and shooting for the stars so that they can one day inspire kids in the audience, the same way Mads was inspired at The Little Mermaid Broadway show years ago. Mads has certainly created many incredible performances in their local community, and Kreate is proud to support Mads' future endeavors on the stage and with the youth they will also one day inspire.
